Financial Affidavits are intended to give a clear and accurate picture of the finances of the marriage.  They are not only required by the Court in all divorces (even collaboratives!) but also play a critical role in settlement discussions.  In this phase, you will give us the information we need to prepare your first Financial Affidavit.  Then, you’ll have the opportunity to review our draft and swear to its accuracy.  Your Financial Affidavit will be updated at other points during the divorce, so the more you invest in getting the first one correct, the smoother the updates are down the line.
