BRANDY KE-A

Growing up an Air Force brat, she was born in Arizona, and then life took her to Nebraska, Kansas, back to Arizona, Mississippi, Massachusetts, Iceland, Alabama, Arizona AGAIN, Louisiana, North Carolina, and Washington – all before she settled back down in Arizona, where she lives today.

After high school, Brandy followed in her family’s footsteps and enlisted in the Air Force. She’d known for ages this was what she wanted to do. It would afford her opportunities to travel, to meet people and become enriched in other cultures. For a while, it worked, but as so often happens, life had a different plan for Brandy. Her time in the military came to a close, and she found herself at a crossroad, needing to carve herself a new path, ultimately earning a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from American Intercontinental University.

Brandy’s mom had always mentioned since Brandy was a little girl, she’d always thought her daughter would grow up to be a lawyer. It took some time, and some experience working in fields like non-profits, customer service, meeting and conference planning, and insurance, but Brandy was able to eventually merge her acquired skills with the legal field – one she’d always had an interest in.

When Brandy’s journey led her to Freed Marcroft, a few things stood out – namely, just how different a law firm could be. She appreciates that the firm is not only about getting results, but that they put a great deal of care and thought into HOW those results are achieved. Brandy values the importance the firm places on teamwork. She knows that without every person on the team handling their duties, the clients won’t be properly cared for, which is of utmost importance to her as a Legal Assistant. She feels like her experiences traveling and meeting so many people around the world have helped her be able to find some kind of connection or common ground with just about anyone, a trait that surely helps the clients she interacts with feel welcomed and appreciated. Brandy loves the challenges her job presents, and also enjoys how no two days of work are ever exactly the same.

When she’s out of the office, Brandy enjoys spending time with her two children and their dogs. They especially enjoy getting away for ski and snowboard trips. Brandy’s favorite mountain is Killington, VT, where she skied when she lived in MA. Brandy is especially invested in her health. Never one to back down from a challenge, she enjoys competing in obstacle races! Rounding out her favorite ways to decompress, Brandy is an avid reader, and enjoys being part of her book club. She’s open to reading most any genre, but if given the chance, she’ll always choose a crime or mystery novel. She also loves puzzle games, a hobby that she thinks makes managing a legal calendar easy in comparison!
