Shelby Mastriano
Shelby was just a kid when she vowed to go into law to help families going through what is arguably one of the most difficult, if not the most difficult, times in their life. She says, “My goal is to help families set their sights on a brighter future and help them get there—to turn a difficult situation into an empowering one. Everyone should feel empowered to own their story and rewrite it in such a way that makes them happy- it’s never too late!”
Shelby has a deep appreciation and understanding of the hardship and struggles that families face when going through a divorce (and all the hurdles that come with it), especially for the children involved. Having grown up in a loving home with her mother and her grandparents; experiencing first-hand, lasting impact divorce (and life thereafter) has on a family, Shelby loves working every day with professionals who all share a unifying passion and purpose in helping families reach their goals.
Hailing from Wisconsin, Shelby received her Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, and went on to complete her studies at Roger Williams University School of Law. While in college, Shelby served as a mentor for the Restorative Justice Program and for the local Big Brothers, Big Sisters organization.
Shelby lives on the shoreline with her CT-native husband, their son and daughter, their yellow lab, Remington, their Newfoundland Rosie and their cat, Gwendolyn. Shelby says that any day spent with family and friends is a day well spent, and she particularly loves traveling, camping, relaxing by the pool, and watching episodes of Friends for the umpteenth time.
