Blaire Backman leads with kindness.
A highly skilled paralegal, Blaire faces each new case head on, ready to problem solve and adapt as needed to get the job done. She takes her clients’ trust very seriously, and lets her integrity lead the way.
Blaire began working in family law when she finished her English major and Paralegal Certificate program at Post University. Blaire relies on her ability to empathize and relate to make her clients feel at ease, and like they’re being met where they’re at. She loves a challenge and thinks quickly on her feet, making her an invaluable resource to clients and attorneys alike. She has an innate understanding of the Connecticut court processes and prides herself on clearly explain them to clients who may be experiencing them for the first time … including when they are experiencing higher levels of stress than usual. Blaire’s strength lies in her calm and kind demeanor. Additionally, she enjoys studying the law and learning new things about it. Blaire is dedicated to continuing education and believes her passion for knowledge allows her to better help her clients.
Blaire’s parents taught her to do right by others because you never know what someone else is going through. It therefore comes as no surprise that one of her greatest joys is being a caretaker for her mother. The two are very close, and love spending time with one another. She also loves spending time with her husband, who is a great cook (she bakes).
Blaire relieves stress by playing the guitar – she started when she was a teen, and losing herself in books, true crime podcasts and films. A self-declared cinephile, Blaire is a huge horror fan (bet you didn’t see that coming!) Her favorites are Jordan Peele’s Get Out, Nope and Us as well as Ari Aster’s Midsommar.
