Melissa McCormack

A 13+ year career in the restaurant and event planning industries provided Melissa with a host of client service skills and a natural knack for enhancing experiences. She can talk to anyone (and everyone), and most importantly: she loves connecting with people. Melissa has always felt a passion for helping people find their vision and bringing it to life. This makes her a perfect fit in her Senior Director of Client Services role here at Freed Marcroft.

Melissa grew up in upstate New York, and moved around the country before settling in Connecticut, where she’s been for over 20 years. She lives with her husband, their five children, their pet cats Jimmy and Onyx and their dog Hendrix. She enjoys cooking and creating dishes for her family and friends with fresh produce from her garden. Some favorites are homemade pickles, Cowboy Candy – a spicy relish, and pepper jelly. She also cherishes spending time with her children at Sacandaga Lake in New York.

Family is everything to Melissa – which drives her passion for her work at Freed Marcroft. “Having gone through a divorce myself, and knowing what that feels like, being able to sympathize with and help someone pick up the phone for the first time is important to me.” Simply put, Melissa loves helping people. She is in the unique role of being able to meet with clients from their very first phone call, and seeing them through the end of a difficult but ultimately empowering process. Melissa finds the transformation of her clients and seeing a visible weight lifted from their shoulders as one of the most rewarding aspects of her job.
