Tanya Romano believes that when opportunity knocks, you jump for the door and grab it, whether it’s for your dream job, or the chance to stand next to Tom Cruise. For Tanya, a paralegal with forty years of experience, joining Freed Marcroft was one of those opportunities. She had followed Freed Marcroft on social media for years, and was inspired by the strong women who ran the firm, and the values they believed in.
Tanya spent more than two decades as a paralegal before deciding to focus her career on family law and divorce. Having traversed that challenge in her own life, she understood that it can be one of the most difficult things someone can go through, but a great legal support system at your back can make all the difference in how you go through it. Keeping people on the track for success, and as coaches and creators in their own lives, has been her motivation during her last twelve years in family law. The Milford native pursued her paralegal studies (and criminal justice) degrees from the University of New Haven and is an active member of both the New Haven and Central Connecticut Paralegal Associations.
Tanya enjoys participating in marathons, for both charitable causes, and for the personal challenge. One race that has particular meaning for Tanya and her daughter – a schoolteacher in Connecticut – is the Vicki Soto Memorial Fundraiser, which supports Connecticut teacher led initiatives, helps implement literacy-based enrichment programs for schools, and provides scholarships for future teachers, in honor of the Sandy Hook teacher. She also runs for Alzheimer’s research, on behalf of her mother.
Opportunity also knocked for the chance to stand next to her favorite actor, Tom Cruise, and she jumped at that one too! (And he really is that short!)
“Believe in the power of your resilience. You have the strength to overcome any storm!” (Unknown).
Freed Marcroft’s team guides select clients through the legal aspects of divorce and family law issues while remaining mindful of their overall wellness.
