Lisa jumped out of an airplane at 6,000 feet, ran her first half marathon at age 58, and became a step mom to three young kids when she married her husband 25 years ago.
But looking for and meeting challenges is what Lisa does. Personally and professionally.
Lisa was among the earliest and is one of the most experienced collaborative divorce lawyers in Connecticut. Since 2001 she’s helped more than 100 clients divorce respectfully, privately, and creatively. Mediating since the early 90s, Lisa’s skill, patience, and calm demeanor have also helped hundreds of couples divorce with dignity.
Perhaps Lisa’s proudest professional accomplishment is how she set out to create a non-adversarial divorce practice long before non-adversarial divorce was popular – and then did it. It wasn’t easy and wasn’t always profitable, but Lisa never abandoned her vision of offering clients a different and better way to divorce.
Lisa’s core philosophy has been the same since she started representing divorcing people – To help you move forward with your life by: listening to your concerns, fears, and dreams; answering your questions about divorce; and empowering you to make the best choices for yourself and your family. Being a client’s ally, advocate, and advisor isn’t simply Lisa’s job, it is who she is.
Lisa is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Lehigh University and earned her JD at Cornell University Law School. She’s a MENSA member, plays racquetball, and enjoys spoiling her bichon frise Rex.
Lisa is thrilled and honored to be taking on her latest professional challenge-joining Freed Marcroft on February 1, 2017 as Of Counsel.
She’s excited to become part of such a dynamic, talented, strong, and compassionate team of lawyers. And Lisa sincerely appreciates the Freed Marcroft commitment to her central Connecticut and New Haven county client base by maintaining her Cheshire office and staff.
Those who have no fantasies never achieve anything fantastic.
