As the seasons change, and the holidays creep ever closer, it’s almost time for one of the most special events in all of Hartford: Winterfest!

An annual tradition started in 2010, Winterfest is an amazing tradition for families throughout the state. The event was designed to bring more life to the beautiful downtown Hartford area, and provide an opportunity for everyone to enjoy the city’s numerous arts, cultural, and dining experiences, along with outdoor family fun.

Winterfest is perhaps best known for the ice-skating rink constructed right in Bushnell Park each year that offers skating, skate rentals, and lessons to all for no cost. The rink opens the day after Thanksgiving and stays open through the holiday season. Freed Marcroft is proud to sponsor such a joyful event, and one that showcases the beauty and spirit of Hartford.
