Who Can File in Stamford Family Court?

You can file divorce and family law cases in either the Connecticut family court that covers the town or city where you live, or the city or town where your spouse or partner lives.  Many Connecticut towns also have a choice of divorce court.

Residents of Darien, Greenwich, New Canaan, Norwalk, Stamford, Weston, Westport, and Wilton may file their divorce in either the Stamford-Norwalk Family Court or the Bridgeport Family Court.

The Connecticut Court’s Family Division hears cases involving family relationships.
