Meghan Freed was one of six new Directors elected to the Hartford County Bar Association at their May 12 Annual Meeting and Awards Ceremony at the Society Room in Hartford. Meghan joined the Board along with attorneys Tamar Bakhbava, Marjorie J. Berger, Patrick M. Birney, Garrett S. Flynn and Matthew P. Hallisey.
The Hartford County Bar Association is the oldest Bar Association in the country, with origins that can be traced to 1783. It was founded to advance jurisprudence, assist in the improvement of the state judicial system, uphold and improve the professional and educational standards of the legal profession and encourage cordial relations among members of the Bar.
