Meghan took a SCUBA certification course last week. It started – thankfully – in a six foot deep pool and ended – a bit terrifyingly – in a much deeper, much more choppy, much more unforgiving ocean.
Everything about scuba diving is . . . different. New environment, new ways to communicate, quick adaptation to constantly changing conditions, a heightened awareness of what used to be a really simple thing – breathing, constant monitoring of gauges and diving buddies.
Luckily, she had an amazing group of instructors – real pros – to guide her every step of the way.
