Kris Paradise

Kris Paradise, Paralegal

Kris is no stranger to having her stress levels tested — just ask her two daredevil sons, and her husband who encourages (and inspires) their stunts!

Kris has well over two decades of family law experience. After completing her sophomore year at Southern Connecticut State University, majoring in Elementary Education, she took a summer job as a legal secretary with a firm in Hartford. It was there that she discovered a passion for family law, where she was able to put her unique life experiences and empathetic nature to good use. Kris decided to redirect her career path to concentrate on paralegal studies. She graduated at the top of her class from The Morse School of Business in Hartford, earning her certification as a paralegal, as well as certification in legal office administration, and prior to joining Freed Marcroft, spent the next 23 years with another divorce and family law firm.

Kris’s passion for providing care, support and guidance to those facing life’s challenges is an organic result of the benefits she experienced early in life. She credits her nurturing and empathetic nature to her upbringing by her grandparents after the loss of her parents at a very young age. She aims to embody those traits in all situations, personal or professional. Kris believes the availability of a positive support system makes it possible to overcome challenges with success, dignity and a true sense of empowerment. Contributing to those systems is an immeasurable source of reward.

Kris believes that fate brought her to Freed Marcroft, where she found a shared passion for making a uniquely positive difference for individuals who find themselves in need of assistance and representation, in what she describes as “not only on the legal end, but on a deeper, more spiritual and caring level, offering invaluable qualities that you’d be greatly challenged to find anywhere else.”
