“Daniel Morton is the best of the best. He is a bulldog.”
Connecticut Family Law Attorney Dan Morton’s client couldn’t have put it better. It’s exactly what you want when your family’s future is on the line.
Daniel is a divorce lawyer who gets results when families need them most. Whether helping clients regain custody, securing emergency protective orders, or handling complex international child abduction cases under the Hague Convention, Daniel has built his practice on one simple principle: getting you what you need.
A Glastonbury, Connecticut native, Daniel brings a unique combination of sophisticated legal experience and unwavering accessibility to every case. Licensed to practice in Connecticut, Texas, and the U.S. District Court for the District of Connecticut, Daniel previously spent five years practicing family law exclusively in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, where he represented everyone from families with limited means to professional athletes and individuals with complex, high-value marital estates.
Daniel’s approach centers on making clients feel confident and supported during their most challenging times. As one client shared, Daniel “made me feel confident that my children and I would be survivors” after helping secure emergency protective orders and full custody. Another noted how Daniel “always communicated with me when I had questions he was there to answer them” – because Daniel understands that accessible, clear communication is just as important as courtroom victories.
In recognition of his exceptional work, Daniel was named a Top Attorney by Fort Worth Magazine. But the recognition that matters most comes from clients who say things like “Gets the job done!” and “works hard to get you what you need.”
Whether you’re facing complex custody battles or high-stakes property division, Daniel brings both the legal firepower and personal dedication to help you take control of your future.
Daniel earned his law degree from Mississippi College School of Law and his Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, with a minor in History, cum laude, from the University of New Haven, where he was inducted into the Phi Alpha Theta historical honor society.
Outside the office, Daniel enjoys fly fishing, traveling, working out, and playing golf.
Having both litigated numerous family cases and personally experienced the challenges of family law firsthand, Daniel understands the critical importance of a strong, dedicated advocate during times of family crisis.
